George C. Walton began a career in reactive and explosive materials while serving as the Commander of the U.S. Army 149th Ordnance Detachment (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) at Edgewood Area, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland in 1976. In 1986, Mr. Walton founded Reactives Management Corporation (RMC) to provide safety and environmental services to public and private organizations.
The company has completed work in 42 states (including Alaska and Hawaii), as well as in Puerto Rico, Bahrain, the Dominican Republic, and Japan. RMC has worked on more than 50 Superfund sites and in numerous laboratories, government facilities, schools, universities, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, and other private and commercial organizations. Our work consists of hazardous materials management (specializing in reactive and explosives materials), training, and technical/consulting services.
